Philosophy
We dedicate most of our resources to the production of limited series, known as "private productions," presented in the Creations section. If you require different dimensions, or a special order within our design framework, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Design
Neither classic, nor contemporary, nor modern. Timeless. And like all design, influenced by designers and artistic movements, past and present, French, Italian, Japanese and American. The permanent obsession is sobriety, elegance, and clean lines. Our objective is to provide pleasure. Pleasure for the eyes. Pleasure of touch. Pleasure of feeling surrounded by beauty. Furniture for a lifetime that makes you feel at home.
After an initial design on paper, a prototype is created, which evolves when placed in context. A slow maturation, 100% manual, in real-life situations. As opposed to computer-aided design.
Manufacturing
Once the prototype is finalized, we launch the production of unique pieces, called "private productions." Happy objects, charged with emotional value, born from a designer's imagination and a master cabinetmaker's hands. Each piece of furniture is made entirely by hand in our workshops, from wood selection to finishing. Traditional joinery – mortise and tenon, dovetails, structural butterflies guarantee ancestral strength and reveal the craftsman's expertise.
Each piece is stamped, signed and accompanied by a certificate of origin.
Raw Material
Our preferred raw material is walnut, in its two expressions: Black walnut (Juglans nigra), with dramatic grain and deep colors, and common or royal walnut (Juglans regia), lighter in tone. The walnut tree embodies the transmission of knowledge and connection between generations. A symbol of wisdom, strength and longevity, it was traditionally planted near homes to attract prosperity. Its noble wood, increasingly rare, has been used since the Middle Ages in high-end cabinetmaking, but also in shipbuilding, due to its dimensional stability and structural resistance.
Its color – from chocolate brown to purple, with magnificent reflections – offers a richness of nuances that brings warmth and discreet luxury. Its exceptionally fine and straight grain makes it as pleasant to the eye as to the touch.
