Design derived from Sam Maloof style (American, 1916 - 2009).

Bench in solid black or royal walnut. Backrest spindles in acacia and walnut, rectangular section legs, or turned and through-tenon.

Tung oil finish

Both highly functional and uncommonly elegant. It will enhance long entrances, large wide hallways, or why not, large living rooms. The backrest is angled at 12 degrees, and designed so that once seated, you extend your arm which naturally rests on the longitudinal rail. The spindles offer slight flexibility, capable of resisting significant pressure. The seat evokes the raw beauty of the finest walnut slabs, and its height from the floor (40cm) allows you to tie your shoelaces without contorting yourself. Traditional joinery, turned and through-tenon legs, locked with an ebony wedge.
