Mid-Century Modern design, inspired by Japanese Mingei craftsmanship and Wharton Esherick ( USA, 1887-70).

Solid black walnut. Centered and angled legs, structural butterflies in walnut heartwood, ebony or rosewood.

Tung oil finish.

190x90cm, 200/100 cm, or 220x100 cm. Top thickness 37-38mm.

The Tsumugi reception table from Les Ateliers Vau Fontaine is Japanese-American inspired, very elegant, with pure and minimalist lines. Very functional as well, no knees can touch the legs. It is made of solid black walnut, the main top is supported by crosspieces and is composed of two or three large tops joined by means of structural reinforcement keys, embedded in the solid wood. Traditional pegged joinery (acacia, ash) and mortise and tenon.

All designed and manufactured to last centuries.
